Go Slow Yoga classes are trauma sensitive and focus on slowing down, tuning in and cultivating comfort in your body through moment to moment awareness.
This nourishing evening class is suited to anyone seeking to cultivate nervous system care. It incorporates accessible Hatha yoga postures, breathing practices, meditation, gentle strength, restorative practices as well as vagal toning for increased nervous system flexibility. Perfect for frontline workers, veterans, allied and mental heath professionals and you!
Expect a class that is facilitated to support you just as you are, where modifications and options are offered and you are invited to choose to move in a way that “feels” best for your body. There will be time for checking in or asking questions if you feel like doing so.
This class will support you to transition from your day and into your evening for rest. It is a welcome alternative to a one size fits all approach to yoga.
Go Slow Yoga classes are supportive and friendly and would suit those who would like to experience the benefits a mindful yoga practice can bring but who might feel overwhelmed, intimidated or not represented in mainstream studio classes. Come as you are!
*Whilst this class is open to the general public it maintains trauma sensitive yoga principles.
